A FEW WORDS FROM OUR WEEK

The diary.

A small note.

No. 01

One year, two cats, and a little corner of the internet.

I've been running this page for a year now. I thought I'd be documenting life with Lux and Leo. What I didn't expect was how lovely it would feel to find people who are just as excited about their cats as I am.

People who understand why a photo of Leo watching the birds deserves a place on my camera roll. Why finding Lux's favourite ball is an event. Why we plan things around the cats, talk to them all day, and love them like our little babies.

There's something really nice about not having to explain any of that. I see other people building their days around the animals they love, and I feel seen. A little less weird for being this devoted to two very fluffy members of the family.

And I love how much there is to look forward to here. As soon as autumn arrives, my feed fills with films to watch, cosy corners and little seasonal traditions. Other people's excitement rubs off on me. I start noticing the season more, even if our version of an autumn activity is sitting by the window with two cats who have very important bird business to attend to.

That's what I'd like to keep in this diary: a few moments from our week, the things we're learning as cat parents, and the thoughts that don't always fit into a reel. Some weeks will be lovely. Some will involve fur on absolutely everything and a search under the sofa for one particular ball.

If you've been here for a while, thank you for making this feel like a little community. And if you've only just found us, I'm glad you're here. There's always room for someone else who wants to talk about their cats.

With love,
